Your first task as a German shepherd owner begins right before your dog is old enough to start learning basic obedience. Imprinting gradually helps your dog understand that you are in charge and that what you say goes.

It helps to bonds you together. German shepherds are, at their core, working dogs. They want to know what their job is and they want to know where they fit into the character.

In order to do both of these things, you will need to make sure you treat your shepherd how you want him to act.

5.Positive Reward:

You should always lavish your Shepard with positive vibes and praise him if he do something good. as , Positive rewards and attention encourage positive behavior, same applies to German Shepard so does same. Your shepherd will thrive knowing that he has done well and will continue to want to please you because previously I said they are stubborn sometimes.

Dog commands and fun are useful and you can probably find hundreds to teach your Shepard.

This one is technically not a command because you will not ask your Shepard to do it every time instead, you want to teach him to do it on his own every time the occasion requires it.

For example, wouldn’t it be great if your puppy would look at you for approval before running after another dog or kid? Take time to do this with your puppy, it will be worth it!

7.Training To Sit And Laydown:

You should always use positive reinforcements to train the dog to sit. First, hold the treat in front of the dog's nose and lift it back up and then say 'sit' while showing and taking back the treat. This makes your dog fold his legs under him and sit down. that's the simple one.

Handshaking is common training and as it sounds simple, it is as easy as making your dog to shake hand.As simple, you need to hold the paw of your Shepard in your hand and then say a word, handshake.
